Large differences
When it comes to feast days, there are large differences between the confessions and even locally. Besides the general Christian festivals Christmas, Easter, Ascension Day and Whitsuntide, the following festivals are official public holidays in most traditionally Catholic cantons:
- Corpus Christi
- Assumption Day (15 August)
- All Saints’ Day (1 November)
