The bearers of the good news from Jesus Christ
In our selection we have given prominence to those saints who brought the good tidings of Jesus Christ to the territory of present-day Switzerland as «apostles», like St Beatus, as missionaries, witnesses to the faith and martyrs. They are, or were, venerated as the initiators of Christianity just as much as the places where they did their deeds and where they died.
