Church of St. Burchard
The farming village of Beinwil is located quiet and sunny in the upper Freiamt region on the eastern slope of the Lindenberg. What has made the place widely known from time immemorial is the fact that it is a place of pilgrimage. It is where a pious priest by the name of Burchard lived and went about his work in around AD 1200; he was highly venerated. To this day, his mortal remains have been kept in the crypt of the parish church.
