The Marian chapel in Eigenthal at the foot of the Pilatus mountain dates back to 1517. It is cared for today by the parish of Schwarzenberg. There is a church service every Sunday at 10.30 a.m. The chapel is open from 8.00 a.m. till 6.00 p.m. all year round. Its visitors are mainly ramblers. Senior citizens groups, Lourdes pilgrimage associations and parishes organise pilgrimages. The chapel is also very popular for weddings and anniversaries.
